| General Installation Instructions

|
| Trim-Tex drywall products can be installed in a variety of ways. The methods listed below are guidelines and Trim-Tex recommends you test which method works best for you. Our in house testing staff had determined that Method 3, Spray Adhesive and staples provides the most superior installation. Some products require more detailed installation instructions than what is listed here. Check the product carton or the previous page for those products.

| Method 1: Staples Prevent overlap of the mud flanges by snipping back as shown. Dry fit the bead and then staples each mud leg every 6-10" with 1/2" long divergent staples. Finish as usual. |
|
| Method 2: Mud Setting Prevent overlap of the mud flanges by snipping back as shown above. Dry fit the bead. Be sure to mud set Trim-Tex beads with Multi-Purpose Compound. Do not use fast setting joint compounds. Apply a layer of compound to the wall. Set the bead in the compound. You should see the compound squeeze through the holes in the bead. Wipe off the excess and apply the first coat of mud. Finish as usual. |

| Method 3: 847 Spray Adhesive Step 1: Prevent overlap of the mud flanges by snipping back as shown above. Dry fit the bead. Put a coat of 847 Spray Adhesive on the back of the bead and then on the drywall. Immediately apply to bead to the drywall and position into place. If the adhesive dries too long, it will be hard to reposition. At some point the adhesive will lose tackiness and will not bond. If this happens rewet both surfaces. The rate at which the adhesive dries varies depending on heat and humidity. Test in your conditions. |

| Step 4: After stapling, go back a second time to pressure the mud legs into place. Mud as usual. These 4 steps don't take long and will ensure a lifetime worry-free installation. | ![]() |
